GreenTEG, a Zurich, Switzerland-based thermal sensor maker has been selected for the Vertical Collaboration Program spring 2018.
The healthcare-focused program is run in collaboration with Samsung, Pfizer and Folkhälsan, where the role of Vertical is to develop strategic partnerships and joint ventures with enterprises in the healthcare space to find business development, licensing, as well as strategic investment opportunities. Startups get a chance to pilot their solutions and go global, through strong corporate support.
The Vertical Collaboration Program is aimed at bringing new value-adding solutions to market through multidisciplinary co-creation between startups and enterprises, solving substantial challenges in healthcare and wellbeing.
GreenTeg is among the 7 startups selected from six European countries. To speed up the next growth cycle of the venture, greenTEG is currently actively seeking funding for the commercial scaling of its continuous and non-invasive core body temperature sensing solution in Med-Tech and Wearable applications.
The collaboration program will be held from April to June 2018. The 3-month program is focused strictly on co-creation and be bringing the value proposition of a startup to delivery.
The main goal of the program is to turn startup proposals to enterprises into concrete projects. Startups will cover four milestones:
- Customer compliance
- Finalized value proposition
- Collaboration terms
greenTEG was founded in 2009 by Wulf Glatz, Etienne Schwyter, and Lukas Durrer as spin-off of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). The company develops, manufactures, and markets thermal sensors for heat flux and laser power/position measurements and provides consulting on the thermal integration of its products. greenTEG supplies its products to OEMs as well as scientists in corporate and university labs around the world. The greenTEG team consists of 15 specialists in engineering, materials science, physics, and electric engineering. All sensors are fully developed and manufactured in Zurich, Switzerland.
