Wearable Technologies at BIKE EXPO 2009
Munich, 27.July 2009, at the BIKE EXPO 2009 the latest bike trends and lifestyle products for sportsmen have been presented from July 23rd until 26th at the New Munich Trade Fair Center.
The first two days of the BIKE EXPO were reserved for industry visitors and at the weekend consumers were able to get a picture of the trends, technological sports equipment and portable consumer electronics. In this area, Wearable Technologies is one of the internationally leading platforms and shows how to combine fashion with electronics and lifestyle.
Some of these emerged products were presented by the following companies:
SportsCurve GPS device is a versatile trace and track product, designed to meet the demands of everyday life- it is extremely small, light-weight and easy to use. It can be utilized in instance for simple monitoring device for tracking sport and personal fitness.
SolarShopper provides through solar panels portable, environmentally friendly power for any kind of mobile device. In direct sunlight, the bag’s three panels absorb 1.5 watts of power and charge the battery bank within three to four hours.
o-synce is a small and light bike pc, which can depict speed, distance, time, up to difference in elevation and combined with a pulse measurer, even pulse.
Moreover, visitors could take part in the Bluetooth Innovation World Cup 2009. The Bluetooth SIG is looking for new applications and products using Bluetooth low energy technology primarily in sports, fitness and sports-related health care applications.
In addition to the exhibition area visitors could witness mountain bike and -BMX dirt jump contests, or a BMX flatland show, test the products or take part in a bicycle race on Sunday, 26th of July.
