Born in 1967 from a 3rd generation entrepreneurial family, in the industrious North-East of Italy.
I graduated with honors in Aerospace Engineering thanks to my fondness for speed and flight.
I grew in the Dolomites with a great passion for sport and I had the honor to attend 3 Winter Olympic Games with different technical roles: I scaled up from minibus driver to General Manager of the Italian National Bobsleigh Teams, and got the prize of seeing the Teams winning 3 Olympic medals.
1993 – My first dreamful job at Ferrari as Project Leader dealing with aerodynamics, materials and special projects for ESA and NASA. I almost got arrested for speeding into a military zone the first time I entered Cape Canaveral. Our experiment container, the BDPU-TC4, successfully flew in the STS78 Spacelab Mission. In 1995 the Ferrari F50 got special rollbars because my head didn’t fit in the cockpit. Safety first.
1996 - Innovation Manager at Benetton Sportsystem for Nordica, Rollerbalde, Prince, Killer Loop and Playlife brands. Last project in 2001 was a sport training suit made with smart wearable fibers for astronaut Roberto Vittori, successfully flown on San Marco, Soyuz – ISS mission, April 2002. I invented and patented a smart suspensions system that has been cited by other 29 inventors from Nike, Adidas, Reebok, New Balance, Columbia, and others. Very proud.
2001 – Founder and Director at Matech – Innovative Materials - Galileo Science Park. The first technology transfer center in Italy on innovative materials. More than 320 projects in 9 years.
2010 – The startups season: co-founder of Venetwork, Venetronic, Fantic Motors, VNT Medical, Start Innovation. Vision and action to help the SMEs to cooperate on common projects to relaunch and sustain the local economy.
2013 – Back to serve a global company at Safilo with a goal and a dream: redesign Innovation organization to bring the company back to trendsetter status and deploy disruptive technologies for the health and wellbeing of consumers. Successfully developing projects for Dior, Fendi, Jimmy Choo, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Givenchy, Safilo, Oxido, Polaroid, Smith brands.
2016 – Project Manager of SafiloX , the Brain Sensing Eyewear, a promising wearable platform.
I spent my whole professional life in Innovation, helping companies to build their future through a proper attitude for continuous evolution. My only regret is my worst invention: Rollerblade Grind Shoes with steel rollers and ball bearings: it sold a lot but resulted in some broken legs. Too fast.
My 4 kids keep me on the edge and hyperactive.
