ispo winter 2007

After making its successful debut at ispo in July 2006, Navispace AG took the techno-fashion highlights of the coming season to ispo winter 2007 (4-7 February). In a 250 square metre exhibition area in the Innovation Hall A2, 20 exhibitors presented exhibits covering the entire spectrum of the Wearable Technologies market – including products that cater to the current iPod euphoria, the analysis of body functions during sport, and the issue of trade marking in the textile business.

The spectrum of companies participating in the February event again covered the entire wearable technologies value chain: Manufacturers of electronic components, such as Bosch Sensortec and the Schreiner Group, lined up against mobile communications giants such as T-Mobile, representatives of the consumer electronics such as SHURE, and system integration experts Eleksen. Renowned brand-name manufacturers such as Burton, K2, and Quiksilver were on hand to display their integrated winter sports fashions and X-Technology, ODLO and Falke presented high-tech underwear made with special fabric. ATM Sporthandel, Polar, Xybermind, Texsys, and Textilforschungsinstitut Thüringen-Vogtland also took part.

The highlights of the event were two all-star roundtable discussions on the first and third days of the show, addressing the topics added value and customer benefits in the first session and brand protection in the second. The show closed with moderated product presentations and Fit-for-Fun fruit cocktails.
