WT - Official partner of Bluetooth Innovation World Cup 2011

The Bluetooth SIG is now accepting entries for its 2011 global innovation competition. With its Bluetooth Innovation World Cup, the not-for-profit trade association seeks innovative ideas for new applications and products that use Bluetooth low energy technology.
In this year’s competition Wearable Technologies will be an official partner. Since the competition first began in 2009, there have been Wearable Technologies products up in the top ranks. Last year’s overall winner was a high end wearable technology product from the sports-related health care segment. The product, a small sensor that can be worn on the ear to measure balance, body posture, activity level and heart rate, is the brainchild of the Pervasive Computing Group at Imperial College in London. In a next development step, using Bluetooth low energy technology, the sensor could transmit that information wirelessly to a computer, phone or other device where it can be sent to the patient's health care provider.
The overall winner of the 2011 contest will receive the following prizes:
USD 5,000
Bluetooth Qualification Program Voucher valued at USD 5,000-10,000
ellisys Bluetooth Low Energy protocol analyzer valued at USD 45,000
All Finalists will receive:
