A month after the award ceremony, Alex Russell, VP Business Development of Gait Up SA, shared with us how significant this award was to the Swiss company GaitUp:
- How does it feel to be the winner of the Sport & Fitness category of the WT | Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup?
It feels great to be recognized by WT for our hard work bringing Pomocup to life. Winning the Sport & Fitness category raises awareness about what we’re doing, ultimately leading to new partnerships and products with Gait Up motion sensing technology inside.
- How will Pomocup change our lives? Promote your product in 3 lines.
Ski mountaineering is a historic sport in the midst of a modern day resurgence. Pomocup builds on this enthusiasm, by promoting performance, technique and overall excitement in the sport. Working with Pomoca from the start helped us build exactly what the users want.
- Would you recommend other companies take part in the Innovation World Cup? If so, why?
Absolutely! It’s all about meeting your peers in the industry, networking with sponsors, and promoting your products. We look forward to being at the Innovation World Cup again in 2018!
- What are the next important milestones for your product?
Right now we’re fine tuning the software and collecting feedback from the first 50 to 100 beta users. The next important milestone is to ship Pomocup to our worldwide distributor network in time for the 2017/18 ski season.
