Ava was founded in Switzerland in 2014. The company specializes in new developments in the field of medical technology related to female reproductive health. Ava was voted startup of the year in Switzerland in both 2017 and 2018 and won the Swiss Medtech Award in 2018. The Ava bracelet is the firm’s first product and uses state-of-the-art sensor technology together with clinically proven methods to pinpoint a woman’s fertile days in real time. Ava is the world’s first clinically proven wearable cycle tracker and is worn as a bracelet on the wrist only during the sleep. It’s the modern woman’s way to detect fertile days and learn more about her body. The tracking of a woman’s cycle, fertility, and pregnancy is just the start of many exciting possibilities. Ava is conducting several ongoing clinical trials with the University Hospital of Zurich.
