The latest version, the WSD-F30 offers a little more. Announced at IFA 2018, the new smartwatch will be officially released on 18 January 2019.

Like its predecessor, the F30 is made for outdoors enthusiasts, with water resistance up to 50 meters, built-in GPS and offline map functionality. The watch’s battery life goes well beyond what was offered in its last year’s model. One unique feature found on the Pro Trek is the use of a dual display. The new dual-layer monochrome and color display extends battery life up to 3 days. It has 1.2-inch OLED display, with a 390 x 390 pixel resolution. Using monochrome only promises to keep the watch running for a month, while still giving you access to the time, maps, altimeter, compass and barometer, reports CNet.

The new Pro Trek saves a few mm over the previous model. The watch measures 49.1 x 53.8mm, and there’s a tiny reduction in the thickness of the watch too. It weighs 83g.

As you’d expect in an outdoors watch, it carries the MIL-STG-810G compliance label, meaning it will withstand plenty of abuse. Technically, it is waterproof to 50m, so it’s fine getting soaked.

This fully-connected smartwatch, running Wear OS is capable of giving you seamless syncing to your phone and the wider world.

Unlike other fitness devices out there, the Pro Trek doesn’t give you a heart rate sensor, which shows that it isn’t really designed as a fitness training device. It’s designed to track your long walks in the hills and give you all the information you need to do that.

The watch also comes with an Extend Mode that lets users download and save color maps for offline use, along with offline GPS logging. This feature comes in handy if you’re hiking and want to conserve battery; This feature will store offline GPS data for you for up to 3 days.

Exact pricing for each country has yet to be unveiled, but in the United States, it’s set at $550. Those prices may be remarkably different when the watch goes on sale.
